These photos are courtesy of NWCOA member Ken Emerson, of Aripeka, Florida who's using The Gophinator on the large Southeastern Pocket Gopher, Geomys pinetus. Ken writes:
"Steve, As i said in the e-mail. those traps are far superior to anything i've been using. They should work great for anything I'll encounter"
"Steve, this is typical Florida gopher damage, and today's catch. Twelve traps set so far. Twelve gophers. No misfired traps, no backfilled holes. Awesome product."
Thanks for the photos and the feedback, Ken. Glad to hear The Gophinator works as well on the large Geomys species of pocket gophers as it does on the slightly smaller Thomomys species we have here in the western states.
"I've used just about every pocket gopher trap currently on the market
and the Gophinator is my favorite. This trap is easy to set, fits into
narrow runs and has the power and proper jaw spread to catch even the
largest of pocket gophers. The Gophinator's unique frame allows the
gopher a clear path to the trigger, resulting in a higher catch ratio.
"Steve's traps continue to come through!"
"I've noted a higher catch rate since using the Gophinator, for sure. I'm sure it's a combination of power, proper jaw spread, less frame for the gopher to come in contact with and dimensions that allow for a snug fit into our runs."
"Here's some shots of a "Trophy" gopher caught today. It pales in comparison to Ken's FL big boys, but for around here, 8 1/2 - 9" is huge.
My daughter thought it was pretty cool, too."

Thanks for the pictures and the positive feedback, Dave. That's a wonderful specimen you have there, and I don't mean the gopher.

I'm NWCOA member Steve Albano, designer and manufacturer of The Gophinator, and owner of Peninsula Animal Trapping, a gopher and mole control business in the San Francisco Bay Area in operation since 1992. We do gopher control on a large scale, with several hundred residential gopher control accounts active at any one time. We also do work for parks, schools, homeowner associations, and currently seven 18-hole golf courses.
Pictured at left are some of the beautiful golf courses I've had the priviledge of working on, these being Sequoyah Country Club in the Oakland Hills, and Los Lagos Golf Course in San Jose. I include these pictures for what you don't see. That's right, no gopher mounds.
At lower left is a picture of me, and my two full time trappers, David Martinez on the left, and Jose Vera on the right, and about sixty gophers removed from Crystal Springs Golf Course, which The Gophinator made quick work of.
